Day 1: 29th December - Arrival

Day 2: 30th December - Golden Circle and the Lava Tunnel (included)

Discover some of the most famous sights of Iceland both above and underground; the Lava Tunnel, Thingvellir National Park, the Geysir Area and the GullfossWaterfall by going on an excursion called the The Golden Circle & The Lava Tunnel
The lava tunnel is one of the biggest in Iceland, begin the day with witnessing the inner workings of a volcanic eruption while we walk in the path of a lava that flowed thousands of years ago .Experience a new world, hear the talk of the cave and sense the forces of nature like you have never done before. Learn new things and step out of your comfort zone. Scenes from the Hollywood movie Noah, with Anthony Hopkins, were shot in this lava cave.
Next up is The Golden Circle, Iceland's most stunning sights. You will see the hot spring Strokkur shoot a column of water up to 30 meters (98 ft.) into the air every 4-8 minutes – a thrilling experience that just never gets old. We also visit the magnificent Gullfoss (Golden Falls) waterfall, created where the river Hvítá tumbles and plunges into a crevice some 32 m (105 ft.) deep. Our tour also includes the historical and geological wonder that is Þingvellir National Park, where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates are pulling apart at a rate of a few centimeters per year.

Spend the night hunting for the spectacular Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis. Join us for a mysterious trip, on a dark winter night. Any time from the onset of autumn darkness until the light nights of spring we can witness one of nature’s most spectacular displays; the phenomenon which we call the Northern Lights. Far from the glow of the city, we hunt for the elusive Aurora Borealis – known as the Northern Lights. Together we will search for these magnificent auroras. On a clear night, we may be lucky enough to see the Northern Lights swirling in a wild and carefree dance across the sky in dramatic shapes, colors, patterns and sizes. 
Please note that the Northern Lights are a unique and spectacular natural phenomena, therefore we cannot guarantee sightings even if the tour is operated. We reserve the right to cancel departure if weather conditions are not favorable with full refund.

Day 3: 31st December - New Year’s Eve Celebration (included)

Experience the New Year’s Eve celebration the Icelandic way! Say farewell to 2019 and celebrate the first day of 2020.
New Year's Eve dinner at Höfnin restaurant & Fireworks Cruise - World famous fireworks display from the sea!

The evening starts with a welcome drink at Höfnin restaurant at 20:30 followed by a 5 course dinner (included)
After dinner you sail away from Reykjavik's Old Harbour in the City Centre for an amazing spectacle cruise of Reykjavik and Reykjavik's World Legendary Fireworks Display!
The luxury comfort vessel embarks the harbour at 11pm and returns approximately half an hour after midnight. The view from the sea gives you the chance of seeing ALL the fireworks over the city.
Receive a complimentary glass of Champagne as midnight approaches and, as the clock hits 12, raise a toast to the New Year. Find a spot in the cozy indoor saloon or on the open-air deck. Then, enjoy the views over the glittering lights f Iceland's capital as your boat cruises out into Faxaflói Bay.
After the tour you are dropped off in the heart of the city so you can continue enjoying the night in Reykjavik.

Day 4: 1st January - Reykjavík at your leisure or Optional tours

Today you can explore Reykjavík at your leisure or book one of many optional tours available during your stay in the city.
On this Iceland day tour you will be guided through the labyrinth of a glacier tongue extending down from the fourth biggest glacier in Iceland.
Only two hours from Reykjavik you find theEyjafjallajökullmassif, and just a little further east the Sólheimajökull glacier tongue extends down from its mother glacier, Mýrdalsjökull, Iceland’s fourth largest. This is a safe and easy glacier walk on crampons up on to the ice field where a wonderland of ice sculptures, ridges and deep crevasses await your discovery.
An Iceland glacier walk is a great way to experience nature and the Sólheimajökull glacier is an ideal way to spend the day. Our experienced mountain guides will teach you how to use the basic ice equipment necessary for this tour. On the way back there’s a stop at the picturesque waterfalls ofSkógafossandSeljalandsfoss

This day tour with Reykjavik Excursions gives you the opportunity to enjoy a day full of adventures, departing from Reykjavik in our comfortable coaches. You will get the opportunity of a life time to enjoy one of the world’s greatest wilderness; Iceland’s second largest glacier – even from the inside! Never before the Langjokull ice caves, has anyone been able to see the beautiful blue ice at the heart of an ice cap glacier. No doubt this will be a truly memorable day. The drive to Langjokull glacier is very scenic and on the way we make a stop by Hraunfossar waterfalls. “Hraun” in Icelandic means lava and the lava at Hraunfossar waterfalls actually came from one of Langjokull glacier’s volcanic eruptions ages ago. At Langjokull glacier’s edge, special modified glacier vehicles will take care of the ride up to the glacier and to the ice caves – and what a ride it is! On the giant glacier itself you will have time to enjoy the stunning environment and view. The walk INTO the glacier itself takes around one hour and is operated with highly experienced English speaking guides.
